27 lines on a cubic surface!

We've finished our 3d printed model of 27 lines on a cubic surface.

If we graph the set of solutions to a polynomial equation in three variables, we obtain a surface.  If the polynomial equation has degree 3, then the surface is called a cubic surface.  It is an amazing fact, proved by Clebsch in the 19th century, that every smooth cubic surface contains exactly 27 lines (provided that you allow some of the "lines" to be complex, rather than real).  We have printed a 3d model of the 27 lines on a particular cubic surface and it is awesome!
