There’s a fairly good chance that all the math you’ve ever done has been in 2D: the 2D pages of your exam, the 2D screen of a projector, the 2D notes on a chalkboard, etc. Wouldn’t it be great to see 3-dimensional thing in three dimensions? Knots, surfaces, fractals, etc.
Come to visualization on Fridays from noon to 2pm in POT 745 to design your own delightful, wacky, and mathematical sculptures with a 3D printer. No experience necessary! Feel free to drop in whenever -- no need to show up at noon or stay for the whole two hours.
